What is a neuropsychological evaluation?

A neuropsychological evaluation is a detailed assessment aimed at understanding how different areas of your brain are working and how this impacts your cognitive abilities and behavior. Think of it as a comprehensive check-up for the brain. An evaluation can help provide an in-depth understanding of strengths and challenges, clarify diagnoses (e.g., ADHD), and develop targeted recommendations to help you grow and be successful at home, school/work, and in the community.

What is an autism evaluation?

An autism evaluation is a comprehensive assessment designed to determine whether an individual meets the criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This evaluation helps in diagnosing ASD by examining various aspects of behavior, communication, social interaction, and developmental history.

What is an autism screening?

Autism Screenings are available to all ages (PreK through Adult). Autism screenings are a one-hour long appointment, and includes a battery of standardized questionnaires, as well as recommendations from a neuropsychologist. You will receive a report with an abbreviated background and results summary. Your screening could result in an official autism diagnosis or may signal potential markers for autism which may warrant additional assessment.
